I'd love to own one but how did they get so expensive? Are these super rare and out of print now or something?

No, it is NOT pink. It is transparent magenta at best. My copy is PANTONE 032 C. It is literally called RED.

QUESTION : the vinyl shown up above is orange.....is that the original? Now i read below that the original vinyl is PINK?? I would rather have the pink, i guess. and i believe some were released on black vinyl. the orange color up above sucks. lol. sorry just an opinion. is sound good on colored vinyll for this one? if anyone knows, let me know. thank you !!!!

I feel like a damn idiot for selling this not long after it came out -____-

Truly lame to have this be so expensive when it was so recently reissued. The band should have more pressed when they run 2.0 later this year.

Great album, great look, great colour, one of my all time favourites. Had for about a year but need to ask if anyone has a copy where side A is repeated on side B. Missing out on 3 tracks !!! Have not seen any comments yet.

Bullshit haters, today: 12/01/2017 I bought this reissue more than a year after its release ... and the color of the vinyl is PINK =) so pay attention: "All regular editions of this 2015 reprint are pink, there is no Another color " enough to complain! It's great that all copies are transparent pink! And also have incredible sound quality! The packaging material is glossy and stunning. You have to buy this reissue. Confirmed world , all copies are pink :) Lima-Perú

Mine is most definitely transparent red and not pink. It still looks great though. Unless you call this pink:https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0105/4542/products/garbage-pink_1200x.jpg?v=1450453213

Sounds way worst than original, however the edition should have been like this one at the beginning. It´s just beautiful. But, at least for me sound quality matters.

I have the original - what exactly is worse about this pressing?

You say that as if nobody else cares about sound quality, when most other reviews mention it... What was the issue with yours?

A+ reissue, as others have said. The vinyl looks beautiful and has excellent sound quality (not always true for colored vinyl). The packaging is simply stunning, with a nice tri-panel gatefold, high quality glossy printing and full inner sleeves. THIS is the treatment this album deserves, and especially appealing given the reasonable price (particularly compared to the ridiculous 3LP edition). Don't sleep on this one.

This is an abcolutely stunning re-issue and I'm so happy it's finally in my collection. It sound greats, it looks amazning (although don't get why it's called pink when it's RED) and to be true this iconic records deserves this beautiful edition.

This record plays extremely slow on my Barthe Rotofluid. I first thought my turntable was out of order, but it is not - other records play just fine. Maybe it's the "pink transparent" thing that my old system can't deal with. Any ideas please folks? Thanks.

New to vinyl? as others have stated this LP needs to be played at 45rpm. Even states on the packaging.

Thanks for your answer tartifless. I think my setup is not properly set for 45 rpm. anyway... I'll look into this. Thanks again

You need to listen to it at 45rpm. Else it will be slow indeed

I m wondering who's decided to write here that this vinyl is....."pink transparent"....This color is not PINK...
Sharpmane
Sharpmane
Well there are different shades of pink, doesn't mean it isn't pink just because it's not the same kind of pink as some other pink records. I suppose you could call it transparent hot-pink but that's still pink either way. "something between transparent cherish red / orange & light pink" isn't exactly concise, what would you prefer it to be called?
Kelezel
Kelezel
I insist (my copy at least) that it's not PINK. I kept it under strong daylight & the color is something between transparent cherish red / orange & light pink. Pink vinyl is MELVINS - "stoner witch" or Bjork's - "post".
Mozel
Mozel
Well it is pink, I don't think there's much doubt about that, hold it up to the light if you're not sure.

Is this the same release that was made available in the US on Black Friday RSD?

Same here man, and this one was an impulse buy for me. Such is life.

Well, that sucks. I could've bought this a month ago for $20 less than what I paid for it on Black Friday. Wish I had known that the versions were identical. Foolish of me.

I knew this was coming out, but didn't really have intent on buying....bought it on a whim, I guess, last Friday. The packaging is excellent, though I did make a tiny rip in the top corner of the tri panel gatefold. The sound is excellent. The vinyl could have been a bit higher quality, but it's far from inferior. This one is worth the buy, if you're debating/considering it!

Thanks Mr. Peens. I m waiting for it (ordered it before a week). Yes, the package looks solid & beautiful. My ears cannot wait.......!! :-)

It sounds great. A tad less loudness than the 1995 pressing but more balanced. Lows are powerful and highs crisp. I'm very happy with it. The packaging is stellar.
