This limited edition is released in a recycled cardboard sleeve, the initial copies sealed with a white sticker; the flyer inside is signed and numbered.
The three tracks on this release make easy listening and are very spacious. The title track “Sleepercell” begins with frequency shifted vocal recordings and minimal, special sounds. “Sleepercell Awakes” moves into a different area of sound with a percussive groove running through the 4:25 duration. The vocal recordings continue with random numbers and filter modulation. “Countercode” continues with the theme of the release progressing into some minimal choral/string arrangements sending you full circle to the initial awakening of the first track. I found this an interesting listen and a good introduction into Severin’s soundtrack work.
