The inclusion of the as-is Elton John track here is definitely the most ill-fitting track inclusion I've ever seen on a remix service issue.

There's been other Hot Tracks issues containing as-is tracks, such as this one, this one and that one, but at least those were actual dance tracks in their original form so they fit decently into the existing tracklists...wheras this Elton A/C song sticks out like a sore thumb.

The info sheet that came with the issue states they were only allowed to use the as-is mixes, but it couldn't be Junior Vasquez's mixes cause they were too long to fit. I'm guessing maybe HT were initially given permission to do a mix or edit of Junior's but then at the last minute Island might have decided to rescind this permission for whatever reason, leaving HT no choice but to stick the radio version in its place as it was probably too late to secure another remix before the issue went to press.
